We are lucky in Keller to have so many great playgrounds and parks to explore. From swings to slides, to climbing walls and water features, Keller's parks and playgrounds keep my kids active, are a great place to meet old friends (and make new! friends), and they're FREE!
I often get asked what our favorite playgrounds are, so I thought I'd share here with you my family's picks for our top five playgrounds and parks to visit in Keller.

Bear Creek Park

What we love about Bear Creek Park:
My family loves this park because we can spend an awesome day. We can have a picnic and use their tables and grills; there are 2 huge playgrounds so the kids can burn some energy; soccer and baseball and volleyball practice areas; basketball court; fire pit and sandbox; a large and a small pavilion; gazebos; drinking fountains; hike and bike trail; wildscape garden with a waterfall and a pond…

Chase Oaks Activity Node Park

This is a smaller park but still pretty awesome. My kids love to spend the day!

Johnson Road Park

What we love about Johnson Road Park:
This park is awesome!! Great layout, shade and even a library right next to it. They have a special section for 2-5 year olds. My kids didn't want to go home. Plus, we didn't have to leave. There is a public restroom, water fountains and picnic tables and grills, so you can just spend the day. Also good close and free parking.

Overton Ridge Park

What we love about Overton Ridge Park:
Only 8 of this 19.4 acres is developed. The City still has 11.4 acres to work with, can you imaging what can be done? It will be amazing.
This little park is perfect to spend a few hours with family. They have a playground, picnic tables and drinking fountains.

The Parks at Town Center

What we love about The Parks at Town Center:
This park is so scenic! You can not only spend an awesome day with family, but also take great pictures of your family.
You can ride a bike or walk your dog, watch the ducks and take great pictures at the wildflower meadows. The kids can play in the playground.

K-9 Pointe Dog Park

What we love about K-9 Pointe Dog Park:
This dog park is very well equipped to make all fur friends very happy. Has a variety of agility equipment and a shade pavilion. And for their humans, the park has the Yappy Hour. This is a free event for patrons that bring their dogs to the dog park. They can enjoy free samples of local beer and wine. Each week there are vendors and a food truck! Yappy Hour is every Friday in March and September from 5:30 to 7 pm.
